Who can benefit from pelvic floor therapy?

Pelvic floor therapy can help all women, whether or not they have symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction or are postpartum.

The primary functions of the pelvic floor include elimination, support, intimacy and childbirth. The pelvic floor can also serve as a lymphatic sump pump as well as a shock absorber.

Women do not have to wait until something feels off to consult with a pelvic floor therapist. In addition to addressing specific problems, therapists can help with overall health and wellness, body knowledge, and prevention.

“The decision to have pelvic floor work has been not only been a blessing but a game changer in many areas of my life. This work has changed painful periods and ovulation and I am much more stable in my core. I now know how to self-treat when I’m feeling off and have a clearer understanding of my pelvic floor and its abilities…Out of all the bodywork available to women, this work is a must at any age and I highly recommend Meghan.”
